After all the gear was triple checked off of the list, packed, and Al and I were twenty minutes into our three plus hour drive to northern Vermont this St. Patrick's Day 2018, I was finally able to relax my run of the mill wedding photographer anticipatory worries, and I suddenly became overcome with emotion to the point of tears. I was on my way to not only capture, but be part of an extremely intimate wedding of two close friends, Dan O'Brien and Lindsey Bassi. Two amazingly good-hearted, down to earth, funny, amazing souls who have been together as a couple for nine years now. I have to admit, more than once behind closed doors, I thought to myself, “what the heck is Lindsey thinking gambling a winter wedding just south of the Canadian border?”... and then I saw the venue. My gosh, the venue. So gorgeous, so much character, so much history. Not generic history either. For this was Lindsey's Grandmother's former home, now turned inn and wedding venue known as, The Inn At The Round Barn Farm in scenic New England's, Waitsfield, Vermont.
When I say this was an intimate wedding, I exaggerate not. Our guest list included eleven close family members. Eleven. What an honor it was to have been extended the gesture of a seat at this dinner table. As I sit here reflecting, I continue to hold back happy tears. This was such an extremely special day wrapped in a multitude of layers of intricate perfection. At this point, I will let these highlighted wedding photos speak for themselves.
